CLASS Swimmers Dominate at PVST Meet

 

Camarillo – Despite fighting the elements for a third meet in a row, CLASS swimmers showed grit and determination in dominating the PVST meet a few weekends ago.  

 

Autumn Abramson (12) had a breakthrough day, dropping over 3.5 seconds in both her 50 Fly and 100 Free, while dropping almost 8 full seconds in her 100 Breast, putting her just off the JAG cuts for this Summer.  

 

Kiani Abrums (11) showed up with some strong swims in her 100 Breast, 100 Free and 50 Back.

 

Willow Baghdasarian (9) swam in her first swim meet ever and did amazing!  She killed it in her 50 Back and 50 Free.  

 

Leila Benwitt (10) dropped over 2.5 seconds in the 50 Breast and 50 Free and dropped almost 10 seconds in her 100 Fly!

 

Ava Buschmann (9) dropped over a second in the 50 Free and swam a strong and gutsy 200 Free.

 

Erik Buschmann (10) dropped over 1.5 seconds in the 50 back and swam such a solid 500 Free for the second time ever.  

 

Owen Campbell (10) dropped almost 5 full seconds in the 200 IM, dropped another 1.5 seconds in the 100 Back, and over half of a second in the 100 Free.  

 

Scott Campbell (13) swam the 1650 Free for the first time and was already within striking distance of qualifying for upper level meets in the event.  

 

Gemma Davis (12) had two outstanding effort swims in both the 100 Back and 100 IM.  Great job Gemma!

 

Aaron Ford (8) had himself a monster day, dropping over a second in the 25 Free and dropped an eye opening 6 seconds in the 50 Free!

 

Sasha Geyzer (13) had three solid swims in the 200 Free, 100 Back, and 50 Free. 

 

Caitlyn Hipp (11) swam in her first swim meet with CLASS, swam the 50 Free in the competitive 11-12 age group, and placed 25th out of over 70 swimmers in her first attempt at the race.  Great job!  

 

Lucy Hoffmann (12) competed well in all three events she swam, including the 50 Breast, 100 Back, and 100 IM.  

 

Shailee Hoffmann (10) had herself a breakthrough meet, dropping time in all FIVE (5) events she swam.  She dropped over 5 seconds in the 100 Breast, dropped over 3 seconds in the 50 Breast, dropped over 2 seconds in the 100 Free and 100 IM, respectively, and dropped a second in both the 50 Fly and 50 Free.  

 

Kira Holzkamp (10) dropped an eye popping 7.5 seconds in the 100 Free and dropped another 1.7 seconds from her 50 Back.

 

Stella Holzkamp (13) dropped over 3.5 seconds in the 200 IM and dropped almost 2 full seconds in the 100 Free.

 

Kai Jaben (7) swam at his first ever swim meet for CLASS Aquatics and placed Top 3 in every event he swam, including winning the 50 Fly!  

 

Isabella Karas (10) dropped almost a full 10 seconds in the 200 Free as well as dropping almost 4 full seconds in the 200 Free.


Alia Lau (11) dropped almost 2 full seconds in her 100 Back, dropped 3 seconds in the 100 IM, and dropped half of a second n the 50 Fly.  

 

Ryan Lozano (20) dropped almost 2.5 seconds in both the 200 IM as well as the 100 Breast.  

 

Gabriel Malecki (8) had himself a weekend, dropping 16 seconds in both the 50 Breast and 100 Free, while also dropping over 13 seconds in the 100 Breast!

 

Michael Malecki (10) had himself a day as well with a 10 second drop in the 50 Breast and a 11 second drop in the 50 Free.   

 

Andy Melekhov (12) dropped over 2.5 seconds in the 50 Fly and dropped almost 2 seconds in the 100 Back.

 

Kylie Melekhov (12) dropped almost half of a second in the 50 Breast and dropped almost 4 seconds in the 100 IM.  

 

Grace Nackers (12) dropped over a second in both the 100 Back, and 50 Breast, dropped half of a second on the 50 Fly, and dropped over 2 seconds in the 100 Breast.  

 

Asher Racius (7) swam in his very first swim meet ever and did amazing, placing 4th in both of his events, the 50 Free and 25 Back.  Way to go Asher!  

 

Azim Stack (15) dropped over 2 seconds in the 100 Back and half of a second in the 50 Free.

 

Sophie Sullivan (11) dropped almost 3 seconds in the 50 back, almost 5 seconds in the 200 Free, and almost 4 seconds in the 50 Fly.  

 

David Thomas (10) showed some serious toughness, where he not only swam the 200 Free and 100 Fly, but he dropped time in both!  David dropped 2 seconds in the 200 Free and almost 4 seconds in the 100 Fly.  

 

Sebastian Vidor (9) swam in his very first swim meet and did amazing!  He swam the 50 Breast and 50 Free and placed Top 16 in both on his first try!  Nice work Sebastian!


Unna Yuvavanich (12) dropped a second in the 200 and 100 Free and dropped over 6 seconds in the 500 Free.
