REMINDER RE VAC POLICIES
Parents and swimmers:
Please note that the Vancouver Aquatic Centre is a facility that we rent from and we have certain requirements to ensure that the facilities are maintained properly and that we are able to accommodate all of our needs.
VAC (Vancouver Aquatic Centre) has requested that we follow the guidelines for the facility to ensure that we are able to maintain a proper environment. Certain requirements include the safety of our members and their families.
1. Entry into the facility is either through the front door when the facility is open to the public OR, entry through the side door by the parking lot when the facility is closed to the public.
2. If entering through the side doors in the mornings or evening, when the facility is closed to the public, ALL swimmers and parents must be in the door 15 minutes prior to the start of the swim session. Up to the start time. Once the session has started, parents are NOT allowed to go in and out. The doors will be locked at the beginning of the session and parents can enter through the front doors when public swimming begins. If these rules are not followed, then we may have to close the session to swimmers only and parents will not be allowed to watch.
3. The lobby is not available for the parents to do any activities at any time.
4. All swimmers must enter the pool during public hours by proceeding down the stairs by the cashier and NEVER down the side steps.
5. Lifeguards are to be respected at all times.
6. Changing rooms are available for swimmers to change and they should not change in the lobby at any time
7. When using equipment, it must be put away neatly after use and locked up.
8. IF your group is allowed to store mesh bags at the facility, they must be kept on the wire and hung up, off the ledge!
9. Street shoes are never to be worn on deck.
We appreciate your support of these rules and your willingness to cooperate. All other facilities have similar rules and regulations.
